Yemeni Rebels Shoot Down Helicopter: 8 Dead 2013

margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QBQzYA0YrdM/UgFh-ZRgJpI/AAAAAAAAEcE/wBaPBD3eqtc/s400/whoopsy.PNG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/08/06/Militants-shoot-down-helicopter-in-Yemen--8-killed">http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/08/06/Militants-shoot-down-helicopter-in-Yemen--8-killed</a></span><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Looks like things are heating up in Yemen- the center of Al Qaida's activities since Osama was dumped into the Indian Ocean to get eaten by sea anemones.<br /><br />Militants there fired on- and shot down- a Yemeni government helicopter, killing 8 people earlier today.<br /><br />Now, strikes by militants are fairly normal acrosss the islamic world- but one has to wonder if possibly, the helicopter was brought down by one of those FSA-funneled weapons given to rebel groups in Syria- you know, those groups that are heavily allied to (and let's face it, probably trained by) Al Qaida members.<br /><br />Weapons are flowing in rivers across the middle east right now as militant forces trade goods and cash through various channels to try and keep stability off center- weapons largely manufactured at the behest of the United States in the first place.<br /><br />I chuckle every time someone reacts with confusion when I tell them that Ronald Reagan loved Osama and gave him billions of dollars worth of weapons and training and logistics support back in the 1980s- or that in both Iran and Iraq we were buddy buddy with various leaders during the early days of the cold war in an effort to cockblock the USSR.<br /><br />Much like US surplus goods were eventually shipped out of post-soviet Afghanistan into other nations and rebel groups after Osama destroyed the soviet advance and made war monuments from destroyed Russian tanks, we can fully expect that, whether the FSA wins or loses, US surplus goods fed by the CIA to the militants there will find their way all across the middle east for the next two or three decades, so that a new generation of inbred jihadists can raise chaos and give us more reasons to spend trillions of dollars policing the oil supply.</div><br> 2013 2013 2013 <br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;
