2013 2013 2013 <div class="MsoNormal">Changeover day kept us busy for most of a beautiful morning and we spent much of the afternoon finishing off the <b>Manx Shearwater</b> study burrows. It was relatively quiet on the bird front, although three <b>Goldcrest </b>were the first of the autumn. Other visitors included a female <b>Sparrowhawk</b>, a <b>Water Rail</b>, two <b>Whimbrel</b>, three <b>Curlew</b>, a <b>Common Sandpiper</b>, a <b>Yellow Wagtail</b>, 28 <b><i>alba </i>wagtail</b> including eight <b>White Wagtail</b>, four <b>Robin</b>, ten <b>Wheatear</b>, a <b>Reed Warbler</b>, two <b>Whitethroat</b>, three <b>Willow Warbler</b>, a <b>Spotted Flycatcher</b>, a <b>Pied Flycatcher</b> and four <b>Starling</b>. The introductory walk was the perfect opportunity for us to show the new guests both <b>Storm Petrel</b> and <b>Manx Shearwater</b> chicks. The <b>Storm Petrel</b>chick had gained over six grams in less than 48 hours. <o:p></o:p></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6v40xeekhSc/UiUCcsUW1iI/AAAAAAAACMY/sS1pFWms-J8/s1600/EK000083.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6v40xeekhSc/UiUCcsUW1iI/AAAAAAAACMY/sS1pFWms-J8/s640/EK000083.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Our new toy is a motion and heat sensitive camera.
