Autumn 2013

2013 2013 2013 <center><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pbi7xY9G58/Ui-rExUJwTI/AAAAAAAAGTI/FYrfmuKN6NI/s1600/Leaf+rz+alt.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pbi7xY9G58/Ui-rExUJwTI/AAAAAAAAGTI/FYrfmuKN6NI/s1600/Leaf+rz+alt.jpg" /></a></center></br>A flash of palest amber ... this yellowing bracken was the first true sign of autumn that I'd seen. But the squally weather was autumnal too, and far too wild and windy for photography. I waited, getting wet, until a fleeting shaft of sunlight rolled across the landscape. </br></br>This is the best I can do with the one grotty shot that I captured. But I like it! And it's nice to have something creative to share with you. </br></br>Not that I've lost my making mojo, but I really don't have a moment to indulge it just now. There have been weddings - my sister's included - and wedding anniversaries - most importantly my parents 60th - and assorted other family milestones to keep me busy, which is why, as the more observant among you may have noticed, I've not been around that much. This will be remedied, and soon ... there may even be knitting. </br></br>Yep, I'm back to trying to find more time for the sticks and string, and I'm finally learning that I need to be as patient with my knitting as I am with my photography. I simply don't have enough hours in my day to knit as much as I'd like to, so progress will always be slow and I must accept that. A major downside of blogging is the feeling that one should always have something new to show and tell. And ditto the feelings of inadequacy if one hasn't. If you're a blogger are you similarly afflicted? </br></br>Taking life slowly enough to savour it, and not rushing my stitches ... that's my aim. To elevate the every day through mindfulness. Having stared at one for so long, waiting for that sunlight, I certainly have a better appreciation of ferns today. In fact I think I'd like to grow some in my studio, maybe put together a terrarium, something like <a target = "_blank" href="http://crownflorastudio.com/terrarium/">these</a>. Do you know much about how? I could certainly do with some tips if so. </br></br>So, I'm ready for a new season, new challenges, new rhythms. How about you? </br></br>Linking with <a target = "_blank" href="http://www.kimklassencafe.com/thecafe/friday-finds-lately.html">Kim's Friday Finds</a></br></br><center>♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥</center></br><center>Follow the links below to subscribe to free updates via ...</br><a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/29x27_zpsdcf5fdaa.png" title="Add to Feedly" /> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><span style="font-size:84%;">Feedly</span></a> </a><a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/bloglovin25x26B_zps0de89725.png" title="Follow with Bloglovin" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><span style="font-size:84%;">Bloglovin</a></span> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/email30x29px_zpsc2dd095d.png" title="New posts via email" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><span style="font-size:78%;">Email</span></a></br></br>You can also now join us on <a target = "_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Knitsofacto/179844712081480">Facebook</a> and on <a target = "_blank" href="http://www.ravelry.com/groups/knitsofacto">Ravelry</a>!</center><br> 2013 2013 2013 <br><center><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pbi7xY9G58/Ui-rExUJwTI/AAAAAAAAGTI/FYrfmuKN6NI/s1600/Leaf+rz+alt.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7pbi7xY9G58/Ui-rExUJwTI/AAAAAAAAGTI/FYrfmuKN6NI/s1600/Leaf+rz+alt.jpg" /></a></center></br>A flash of palest amber ... this yellowing bracken was the first true sign of autumn that I'd seen.
