Yes, I did, back in my art student days, but - and it's a big but - that was long enough ago to be pre-digital. Everything I know about digital photography, which isn't a lot, I've taught myself. </br></br>Another day, another comment: this time about the camera as an extension of the eye. Yes, I <i>see</i> with my camera, definitely, but it's when I edit my images that I really <i>look</i>. For me, taking photographs is all about spontaneity - that's why I often use auto and semi-auto settings - it's the editing of them that is the reflective practice*. Which doesn't mean I'm not uncertain about the 'arty' pics I post - I always am - but I've learnt to hit 'publish' anyway and hope they'll hold <i>some</i> interest for others. </br></br>How about you, do you like to discover your world through a lens? And what are <i>your</i> thoughts on the difference between seeing and looking? </br></br>*Unless they're simply illustrative of something, as in my <a target = "_blank" href="http://knitsofacto.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/indigo-green.html">last post</a>. </br></br><center>♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥</center></br>Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my indigo dyeing. I'll be getting the dye buckets out again tomorrow so, with luck, my next post won't be black and white. </br></br><center>♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥</center></br><center>Follow the links below to subscribe to free updates via ...</br><a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/pbucket.gif" title="Add to Feedly" /> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><span style="font-size:84%;">Feedly</span></a> </a><a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/pbucket.gif" title="Follow with Bloglovin" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><span style="font-size:84%;">Bloglovin</a></span> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/pbucket.gif" title="New posts via email" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><span style="font-size:78%;">Email</span></a></br></br>You can also now join us on <a target = "_blank" href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Knitsofacto/179844712081480">Facebook</a> and on <a target = "_blank" href="http://www.ravelry.com/groups/knitsofacto">Ravelry</a>!</center><br> 2013 2013 2013 <br><center><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7_YDCQoS28Q/UfGIE_9CFAI/AAAAAAAAF_c/9_h1EYAIqbs/s1600/Faded+sunflower+%231.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7_YDCQoS28Q/UfGIE_9CFAI/AAAAAAAAF_c/9_h1EYAIqbs/s1600/Faded+sunflower+%231.jpg" /></a></center></br>I've gone all black and white on you again ... the colour version of this image just didn't do justice to the papery translucency of this petticoat of wilting petals. </br></br>A question in the comments one day: did I ever take photography classes?
