Weekending 2013

2013 2013 2013 <center><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OK4UihySC1M/UdmkiOA1-FI/AAAAAAAAFzs/_Q9Z7-25BRo/s1600/Sunday+%231.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OK4UihySC1M/UdmkiOA1-FI/AAAAAAAAFzs/_Q9Z7-25BRo/s1600/Sunday+%231.jpg" /></a></center></br>It's been a mixed bag of a weekend here, and one not quite so tranquil as this image suggests. The best bits have involved knitting, reading, eating far too many cherries, the heady scent of pink jasmine in the courtyard garden, and Andy Murray winning at Wimbledon. Yay! The worst bits have involved the consequences of knitting too much, and a blood bath! </br></br>Why does the tiniest of nicks in a dog's ear bleed <i>so</i> profusely? And why does a dog who has a nick in his ear find it so blimmin' necessary to shake his head? Not just once, I might add, but again, and again, and again! We spent half of yesterday evening washing blood spatter off the walls! And off the floors, the furniture, ourselves ... if a CSI - preferably Grissom! - should ever turn up with a Luminol spray he'd probably conclude that a truly dastardly crime had been committed here! </br></br><a target = "_blank" href="http://knitsofacto.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/meet-jim.html">Jim</a>, the hound concerned, is fine, just slightly miffed at being forced to wear a section of tights leg over his head to stop him waving his darn ear about and scratching at it. But having spent a good part of the night on staunching and mopping watch, knitting all the while he slept, I'm not so fine ... I've aggravated an old shoulder injury and now can't knit at all. In the miffed-ness stakes I'm beating Jim hands down! </br></br>That's a lacy wrap in the making that you see above, demonstrating that lace really doesn't look like lace until it's been blocked! The yarn's an undyed Black Jacob and it's some of the most deliciously sheepy smelling stuff I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Or not work with, now my shoulder's giving me gip! If you've any tips on managing RSIs folks I'd really appreciate it if you'd share them. </br></br>So, how did you spend your weekend? Was the weather kind to you? And what are your thoughts on Murray's win at Wimbledon today? We're mighty chuffed by it here Smile </br></br><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvijQVT4p8c/Udp3YXPymKI/AAAAAAAAF0w/K2oR5AWUGyw/s1600/Sunday+%232A.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mvijQVT4p8c/Udp3YXPymKI/AAAAAAAAF0w/K2oR5AWUGyw/s1600/Sunday+%232A.jpg" /></a></br></br><center>♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥</center></br>Many thanks to everyone who helped out with the poppy picking question ... I shall be testing your suggestions soon and am already looking forward to having poppies in the house that last for more than five minutes. </br></br><center>♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥</center></br><center>Follow the links below to subscribe to free updates via ...</br><a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/29x27_zpsdcf5fdaa.png" title="Add to Feedly" /> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://feeds.feedburner.com/knitsofacto"><span style="font-size:84%;">Feedly</span></a> </a><a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/bloglovin25x26B_zps0de89725.png" title="Follow with Bloglovin" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://www.bloglovin.com/en/blog/3234656"><span style="font-size:84%;">Bloglovin</a></span> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><img src="http://i1155.photobucket.com/albums/p557/knitsofacto/email30x29px_zpsc2dd095d.png" title="New posts via email" /></a> <a target="_blank" href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=knitsofacto&amp;loc=en_US"><span style="font-size:78%;">Email</span></a></br></br>You can also now join us on <a target = "_blank" href="http://www.ravelry.com/groups/knitsofacto">Ravelry</a>!</center><br> 2013 2013 2013 <br><center><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OK4UihySC1M/UdmkiOA1-FI/AAAAAAAAFzs/_Q9Z7-25BRo/s1600/Sunday+%231.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OK4UihySC1M/UdmkiOA1-FI/AAAAAAAAFzs/_Q9Z7-25BRo/s1600/Sunday+%231.jpg" /></a></center></br>It's been a mixed bag of a weekend here, and one not quite so tranquil as this image suggests.
